EAST HAMPTON TEACHERS' ASSOCIATION
EHTA (East Hampton Teachers' Association) is the local union representing the teachers,
nurses and teaching assistants of the East Hampton Union Free School District.
The East Hampton School District is comprised of more than 2000 students who join us from
East Hampton and several feeder districts (Amagansett, Montauk, Sagaponack, Springs &
Wainscott). These students are enrolled in three buildings -- John M. Marshall Elementary
School, East Hampton Middle School, and East Hampton High School. The EHTA has
approximately 220 members.
The East Hampton Teachers' Association is affiliated with the New York State United
Teachers, the American Federation of Teachers, the National Education Association and the
AFL-CIO.
Our Mission:
To provide a working environment where teachers develop professionally, reach their goals,
and experience fulfilling careers.
